Job Description

ABOUT US

Kirontech is a Lebanon/UK/Finland based healthcare analytics software provider.  With an expanding number of clients in the pipeline, we are looking for very solid Python/Java developers to help solidify our product offering and join our growing team. A small number of vacancies are currently open at our Beirut office.

THE ROLE

Your main responsibility will be to build a robust automated testing framework for a growing Python+Typescript stack. The heart of the codebase consists of a python analytics layer, which is exposed via a REST API to web-based GUIs. Whilst parts of the codebase are mature, this is very much a greenfield project with plenty of opportunities to make your mark and build new things. Test coverage in general is good and needs to remain that way.

You will be happy to work with coders to help them write testable code in general and help work towards best practices across the board. You will be passionate about TDD and encourage best practices across the board.

As with any startup, you should be happy, on occasion, to bridge out into other areas of technology (for example databases, Typescript front-end, web servers). You will receive appropriate training in any new technologies. You will write highly performant, clean and testable code. You will be happy with an Agile-based approach and already comfortable with or happy to learn JIRA for monitoring and recording your progress.

The role will be based in Beirut and you will liaise regularly with your colleagues in Cambridge, UK. Working language will be English. The role may require occasional overseas travel.

The following skills are a must:

  • Python 3
  • Selenium + Protractor
  • CI Software (Jenkins/Travis etc)
  • Linux
  • SQL
  • RESTful concepts

The following skills would be nice-to-have:

  • Any Azure experience
  • Nginx / other proxy software
  • NoSQL (elastic, any graph database)
